Materials are required
- Tahini – The star of the show! Tahini is a seed butter with a creamy consistency with nutty flavor similar to other nut butters. My favorite Tahini is the organic Whole Foods Tahini, but I also buy Tahini again regularly. You can also make your own homemade tahini!
- Lemon juice – One of my favorite ingredients to use to make homemade dressings.
- Maple syrup – For a touch of sweetness to balance the lemon juice tang.
- Garlic – You can save time by using pre-ripe garlic, but fresh garlic definitely has the best flavor.
- Dijon Mustard – Use Dijon mustard, which has a more robust flavor than yellow mustard. Also, there is less vinegar to balance other flavors well!
- Sea salt – To bring all the flavors together.

Brittany Tips for the Perfect Creamy Tahini Dressing
- Adjust the thickness: If the dressing is too thick, add some water at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
- Use fresh tahini: Tahini quality can really make a difference in flavor. Fresh, high quality tahini gives it the best taste.
- Flavor boost: Try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of cumin for a little extra kick.
- I’ll make it sweet: If you prefer a touch of sweetness, add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
