The “Black Adam” star gave a glimpse into how the fans have piston-like legs.
Few Hollywood performers work on their physique like Dwayne “Rock” Johnson. The film’s star has the driving force to maintain his strength and conditioning, but most of his roles include some high level of physicality, but even Johnson’s general browsing on Instagram appears to show he’s going beyond the gym.
On November 2, 2022, Johnson posted a clip on Instagram where he worked through a rigorous leg workout consisting of five “monster sets” and a “killer finisher.” It’s definitely a challenge at a glance, but the routine is probably just a walk around the park for the man dedicated to his training.

According to Johnson’s caption in his post, he completed all the set of movements “back to back, without rest in between” in training, like a circuit or superset before starting the next set. (He made each of five sets of moves in total.) Here’s an overview of Johnson’s complete leg workout: No person in charge for each exercise was provided:
Dwayne Johnson Leg Workout | November 2, 2022
- Leg Press – 5 sets
- Hack squat – 5 sets
- Chain rush – 5 sets
- Dumbbell Sumo Squat – 5 sets
As for the difficult closer that Johnson mentioned, he added a bit of extra spice to his 100-pound dumbbell SUMO squat. The actor’s goal was to perform the dumbbell SUMO squat, tilting slightly forward, using a 3-second negative (lower stage) and a 1-second pause at the bottom without the dumbbell touching the floor. Additionally, Johnson used dumbbells only at his fingertips to promote grip strength.

Given the recent developments of his career, Johnson may have been particularly motivated to build mass and strength on his feet, even before this particular training.
The actor is currently appearing in the DC Comics adaptation Black Adam. (Note: The film was released in the United States on October 21, 2022.) Johnson plays an anti-hero of the same name, given incredibly talented by the Almighty Gods. Due to this prerequisite for physical capabilities, Johnson’s portrayal is, so to speak, of a dominant demigod (and precisely in the source material).
Similarly, Johnson’s overall background helps with a seamless commitment to fitness. The 50-year-old was a former WWE superstar (and hence the nickname “Rock”) and was also a member of the University of Miami’s 1991 national championship team. He was a spinning defensive tackle, and played particularly with future professional football hall of fame Warren Sapp.
From this perspective, it’s nothing new to most people to destroy the tough leg workouts. You need to train that way to become a glowing star on a soccer field, a square, or a silver screen.
